Phase 7 — Batch 7.2: SEO Optimization

What to build:

  • Per-page meta titles and descriptions
  • Open Graph tags for social sharing
  • Structured data (JSON-LD) for Organization, LocalBusiness, Service
  • Sitemap.xml generation
  • Robots.txt configuration
  • Canonical URLs
  • Semantic HTML improvements (h1/h2/h3 hierarchy)
  • Image alt text audit

Technical approach:

  • React Helmet or document.title per route
  • Static generation of sitemap + robots.txt via Vite plugin or build script
  • JSON-LD embedded in page heads
  • Ensure each page has unique, descriptive meta description

SEO targets:

  • "8x8 partner Michigan"
  • "business phone systems Houghton"
  • "UCaaS Upper Peninsula"
  • "IT support Keweenaw"
  • "managed network services Michigan"

Deferred from Phase 6 planning. Can proceed without owner input.
